ENTRY.NO.1

Today we went to the salt mine. It isn't your typical mine, what with all of the five-foot clearings of salt-solidified water flats. Grampa was, I think was really interested. He even had a turn at harvesting the salt. This is what it looked like with Oscar:

It looked like a bunch of squares all sewed together with aqueducts made of dirt and salt. There was a really cool way that they got the salt: there was a little cave made of salt, and a river ran through it. Naturally, it was super salty. The river went through the aqueducts. There were a bunch of little holes in the side of the aqueduct that they could plug and unplug.
