What I Thought of It (6) - Chile

Today I begin on South America, startin' with Chile - just like we did on our trip!

SANTIAGO (5/10)

Santiago is the first city we went to. It's pretty fancy and more high-scale than most of South America we've seen so far. We stayed in the twelfth floor of an apartment building and dropped grapes 150 ft. to the ground. That was fun. We took a biking tour to a few markets, but all in all it was meh. Not particularly good or bad. There were a lot of large marketplaces packed with a lot of people and stall, and they had like dead carcasses of chicken and cows, but it wasn't as gross as you would've imagined. In short, Santiago was okay.

VALPARAISO (7-8/10)

Ah, Valparaiso, the City of Street Art. I actually already made a blog about it, but anyway, what I thought of it as a whole. It was really nice, and the streets made it really fun to do parkour in. And of course, the street art was stunning. Seriously, are these people professional artists? Almost every surface (except the ground) was covered in beautiful art. There was also a bazillion street dogs, including ones that I thought might be Hugo's dad. This one with six claws on each of his hind feet, for instance. We called him Great King of this World, Retired Lord of the mighty Wuz, Butcher of Lies, the Six-Clawed Destroyer, Crusher of Cats, Great Beast that is called Dragon, King of Truth, and John.

THE ATACAMA DESERT (6/10)

Not taken by us, but still a good point of what it looks like.

The Atacama is a huge desert where we stayed for a few days, specifically Valle de la Luna. We resided in a tiny complex in a tiny town in a huge desert for like four dias. It was really incredible outside - at night, I couldn't tell it apart from Mars - orange and red sand, mountains of the same colors and absolutely. no. life. At least our place had water, WiFi, AC and electricity. We took some incredible jeep tours that explored salt caves (I licked the walls and they tasted good! Like... you'll never believe this... SALT!!!!), giant cliffs, and other fun stuff. It was about now that I got back into Wings of Fire and made an OC named Atacama. Thanks, inspiration!
