Last night I was alone.
Inside, I was alone.
In real life, I was concealed by blankets and a Kindle, but inside,
I was alone.
Once again, thrust into a world we have no knowing of,
we barely understand their way of life and language.
It all seemed so lonely and hopeless,
We were jetlagged though, so that might
Have something to do with it.
Last night, I was alone.
Inside, I was alone.
But come the morning, I am surrounded
by family, my friends for always.
Angus sprouts Transformers trivia,
Mama cooks croissants for breakfast,
Papa gives me a cup of coffee. (Which helped.)
Last night, I am alone.
But no longer.
