We've started saying good-byes, even though our departure date is still 2 weeks away. Everyone is so excited for us, and there are so many little gestures that have made me misty eyed and already appreciating the kind folks who make up our community here. Reminds me that it doesn't take much to reach out and make someone feel loved. We should all do it more often.
For example - my awesome little laminated set of workouts* from Lesley. A super sweet card from Tara. Kerry driving down from Oregon to help us out during crunch week. Nicole cooking us a delicious dinner last night even though she was exhausted herself. Kristen (and others!) offering a place to stay when we are moved out.
There will no doubt be many more along the trail who offer a bed, an idea, or even just encouragement. I'm thanking them in advance, and realizing that these little gestures and moments are what makes the world go round.
PS downloaded 8 episodes of Outlander today, as a little kindness to myself on the flight!
